Before we begin

A clearer starting point.

Practical answers about scope, collaboration and delivery.

In this field

Do we need a complete brief?

No. A clear problem or intended change is enough to begin a conversation. Discovery can turn that starting point into an agreed brief and first scope.

Can you improve an existing product?

Yes. A focused review can identify the experience, content or technical work that matters most. We can define a bounded improvement rather than assuming everything needs rebuilding.

Do you work on both design and development?

The practice connects strategy, identity, interface design and implementation. The exact combination is agreed around the project and the capabilities it needs.

Will our team be able to edit the website?

Editing and maintenance are part of the scope discussion. We define who will own the content, which parts the team needs to change and how those changes should work. The editing workflow and a practical handover are considered alongside the public experience.

Are the work examples client projects?

Singularity, Parallel and Event Horizon are explicitly labelled self-initiated concept explorations. They demonstrate a direction and a way of thinking without claiming commissioned work or measured business results.

How are timing and cost agreed?

After the initial context is understood, the scope, responsibilities, milestones and commercial terms are set out in a proposal. This website does not imply a fixed price or delivery commitment.

Can animation be switched off?

Yes. Use Motion in the footer. The site also respects your device’s reduced-motion preference. All important content and actions remain available without the effects.

Ask your own question

Who provides the text and images?

Content responsibilities are agreed as part of the scope. A project may include structure, writing, art direction, asset production or preparation of existing materials. We identify what is available, what needs creating and who will approve it before planning the final page and asset requirements.

What happens at handover?

We agree what is delivered, where it is stored and how the owner will maintain it. A useful handover includes an explanation of the editing workflow, configuration, asset structure and outstanding decisions.

Can we begin with a small engagement?

Yes. A review, discovery stage or bounded prototype can be a sensible first step. The aim is to reduce a specific uncertainty and give the next stage a clearer basis.

Do the Lab studies use visitor data?

The visual studies run locally in your browser. They do not send visitor inputs to an AI service. Any future data-connected experiment would need its own scope, privacy information and operational controls.
