In this field
What if the relationships in an interface were felt as well as seen?
The exploration.
The field responds to a small change in pointer position. Nearby threads bend first, while more distant parts respond more gently. The movement creates a sense of connection without requiring a person to drag an object or complete a sequence.
What we would look for.
A useful application would need to make selection and focus explicit. The same relationship must be available through readable labels and keyboard controls. The motion should confirm an interaction, not become the only way to understand it.
Where it could lead.
Navigation studies, relationship maps and spatial feedback around a clearly defined task.
The next useful experiment.
Choose one real context, define what a person needs to understand and build a small test around that task. The outcome should help decide whether to develop, revise or stop the direction.
